Buena Vista Araperique little cigars – strong and bright tobacco

Buena Vista Araperique little cigars were first introduced in 2013 at Intertabac in Dortmund by German manufacturing company Arnold Andre. Literally, the name is translated from Spanish as “good view, panorama”, this name is very popular in Spanish-speaking countries, where some locality or village is really very beautiful. These little cigars are in many ways different from everything on the market. The first admiration for the consumer is the handmade box made of roughly processed wood, each of which is different. A special coating from different angles of view shimmers from light silver to deep black with purple-red accents.

Inside the box, in addition to a number of perfect Buena Vista Araperique little and light cigars, there is a layer of natural tobacco veins removed from the leaves for filling. This emphasizes the purity and particular care of preparing the tobacco and rolling the cigar. But the cigar mixture itself is also unique! The main place in it is given to tobacco called “Araperique”. In this new word for the cigar industry, two concepts are combined: strong and bright tobacco from the Arapirac region in the state of Alagos, Brazil, and the name of the strongest and brightest to taste pipe variety – Perique. Tobacco Arapiraca has complex powerful characteristics and increased strength. After careful manual harvesting, the leaves are dried and sent to fermentation according to the Perique method. For those unfamiliar with pipe tobacco varieties, we recall that this method is common in South Louisiana, it is typical for packing tobacco into bourbon barrels, fruit pulp, plum juice, spices and other natural ingredients are also added for more intensive fermentation.

The manufacturer does not disclose all the secrets, but it is known for sure that the aging processes in American whiskey barrels take at least one year. Moreover, at this time they are shifted several times to ensure the uniformity of all processes. The spicy aroma of these leaves determines the nature of the future mixture. The balance of taste is maintained in the tobacco filler from the Dominican Republic, Peru and Nicaragua, and the original Bahia Sumatra tobacco was also selected as a binder sheet. The birthplace of the variety is the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the seeds were transplanted to the Brazilian state of Bahia, mutating and developing there, they were germinated in the mild climate of Ecuador. The cover sheet is more classic for the Dominicans – this is Ecuadorian-Connecticut tobacco.
